Tyler Clementi is the teenager who committed suicide after his roommate broadcast video of his ‘making out with a dude’. Clementi’s death, and the deaths of the many other teenagers subject to anti-queer hate, have moved Dan Savage to start the It Gets Better project. Many people, celebrities, and cities, have uploaded messages for queer teenage youth in despair. Of these, the most moving is the video from Tim Gunn.
Not only does it get better but it’s possible to agitate to make it better. That’s one of the messages of the ThinkAgain art collective whose work, here, includes this brilliant Queer Youth Manifesto.
