I’m going to be in the UK for the launch of The Value of Nothing next week, and I’ll be giving talks at the London School of Economics on Tues Dec 1, the Bristol Festival of Ideas on Weds Dec 2, and City University on Thurs Dec 3.
Full details here – if you’re a UK reader, it’d be lovely to see you there.
Shame I missed your LSE talk! Would love to attend if you’re in the UK again. Studying PPE and presently reading the ‘Stuffed and the Starved’, with intent to read ‘Value of Nothing’ next. I like the Oscar Wilde quote, but he’s human after all so full of contradictions!
“When I was young I used to think that money was the most important thing in life. Now that I am old, I know it is”…
though I don’t know what context he said this. Perhaps he was sad about the fact this had happened.
All the best.x
